Syracuse clears Morris to play against Maryland, lists Crume as probable
Gorge Morris II is active for Syracuse’s game against Maryland on Saturday. The running back, who was the Orange’s top kick returner when he was healthy, hasn’t played since SU’s loss to then-No. 3 Clemson. Morris has rushed for 114 yards on 26 attempts this season and has returned 11 kicks for 209 yards.
Defensive tackle Marcus Coleman and wide receiver Quinta Funderburk have both been ruled out for Saturday’s game. Neither has played significant snaps for Syracuse this season.
Eric Crume, the defensive tackle who was listed as questionable for last week’s game, is now listed as probable. He played in Saturday’s 13-0 win over Wake Forest, although it was only a few snaps as the Orange primarily operated out of the 3-4 defense.
