Men’s basketball announces schedule
The Syracuse men’s basketball team announced its 27-game schedule Friday afternoon. The list includes the one non-conference opponent that was previously undetermined.
This year’s schedule features the traditional 16 conference games and a list of non-conference games highlighted by Georgia Tech, Missouri and Michigan State. Finalizing the list, Syracuse agreed on a game with UNC-Greensboro that will occur at the Carrier Dome on Dec. 10.
The Orangemen satisfied their hopes by finding a team willing to come to the Dome on late notice. After tournament organizers shortened the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic to a single, non-tournament game, Syracuse was forced to scramble to add another opponent.
Last year, UNC Greensboro advanced to the NIT Tournament with a record of 20-11.
From Nov. 24 to Dec. 30, the Orangemen enjoy a stretch of eight consecutive home games. The lone game prior is at Madison Square Garden against Memphis in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic.
