President Barack Obama will visit Syracuse as part of his bus tour across Upstate New York and Pennsylvania next week.

On Aug. 22 and Aug. 23, the president will begin a two-day tour, stopping in Buffalo, Binghamton and Northeast Pennsylvania, a White House official said in an email. Currently, there are no specific details as to where Obama will be in Syracuse.

Obama will discuss higher education, reducing its cost and improving its value for middle-class students and their families, the official said.
