Body of recent SU grad, Marinna Kohn, discovered in Merrimack River
The body of the recent graduate who was swept off to sea in Massachusetts was found Thursday in the Merrimack River.
Two fishermen found the body of Marinna Khon, who graduated from Syracuse University on May 16, at the mouth of the Merrimack River June 3, said Lt. Mark Murray, the operations lieutenant of the Newburyport Police Department, in an e-mail interview.
Khon was lost in the Merrimack River on the evening of May 25 after she and seven friends were swept off a Plum Island sandbar. While her friends were pulled to safety, Kohn was pulled out to sea.
